TV iOS and Android Apps No Longer Work

We have released an update to the TV apps on iOS and Android which will change them into our brand-new TalkTalk TV apps. Most customers have their mobile device settings configured to automatically download updates to apps. However, if you have not updated to the new TalkTalk TV app after January 29th, 2018, you’ll find that the app displays an error when you try to use it.

 

How can I get the app working again?

All you need to do is update to the latest version of our app and everything will start working again. The process differs slightly between Android and iOS.

 

Updating on iOS

  1. Locate the ‘App Store’ app and launch it.
  2. Select the search icon in the tabs and search for ‘TalkTalk TV’.
  3. If you already have the old TV Store app installed, you’ll see an ‘Update’ button on our app.
  4. Press the ‘Update’ button and authenticate (password, touch or face ID depending upon your device).
  5. After a short while, the new app is installed. You’ll need to launch it and sign in again.

 

 

Updating on Android

  1. Locate the ‘Play Store’ app and launch it.
  2. Search for ‘TalkTalk TV’.
  3. If you already have the old TV Store app installed, you’ll see an ‘Update’ button on our app.
  4. Press the ‘Update’ button.
  5. After a short while, the new app is installed. You’ll need to launch it and sign in again.
